A study found that Tirzepatide (TZP) promotes significant weight loss and reduces appetite, food intake, food cravings, and food preference in people with obesity who are undergoing caloric restriction. In the study, participants were randomized to receive either TZP or a placebo for 18 weeks, after which those who received TZP had lost significantly more weight than those who received the placebo. Additionally, those who received TZP ate less food during ad libitum lunch and dinner and had lower levels of appetite and food cravings and preferences compared to those who received the placebo.
